We are in search of an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel position. The ideal candidate should possess at least 1 year of relevant experience. Below are additional requirements.
As a US Tech, your responsibilities will include operating the ultrasound equipment and ensuring that the images produced are accurate for medical evaluation by physicians. You will also be tasked with preparing and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound examinations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a US Tech, you will be expected to:
- Inform patients and their families about the procedures being performed
- Utilize sonographic equipment to locate and assess areas of concern
- Prepare examination rooms and assist Radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Alert medical staff to any abnormalities requiring immediate attention
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any technical issues
- Conduct scan tests and document findings
- Keep accurate patient records
- Utilize the McKesson PACS system effectively
Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Required certifications include BLS, RDMS National certification, and any state-specific licensing as necessary.
US Techs should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending, leaning, or stooping without difficulty. A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.
Essential Requirements: BLS, ARDMS (RVT), ARDMS, 2 YearsAdditional certifications may be required prior to starting an assignment.
