Traveling Production Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Traveling Production Technician to join our team at BHS Corrugated & Robotics. This role involves installing, servicing, and inspecting NICE corrugating roll assemblies at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Service: Install and service NICE corrugating roll assemblies at customer sites, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Inspection and Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of rolls and cassettes to identify any issues or defects.
- Bearing Installation: Install bearings and races on outbound rolls according to sales order requirements.
- Pressure Testing: Perform pressure tests to identify potential system failures, such as leaks or faulty steam fittings.
- Roll Inspection: Inspect rolls to ensure they meet tolerance requirements for TIR, flute depth, and profile.
Requirements:
- Travel and Flexibility: Ability to travel up to 50% of the year, work weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Lifting and Rigging: Basic crane and rigging ability, including inspections of chains, slings, and hoists for serviceability.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift, perform pre-use inspections, and understand operating limits.
- Torch and Tool Operation: Safely operate oxy acetylene torches and power tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for at least 45 minutes at a time and lift 35 pounds at waist level.
- Computer Skills: Ability to use computers, SAP, and MS Office applications.
- Experience: At least 2 years of manufacturing or mechanical experience.
