Hennepin County is excited to offer a comprehensive Building Operations Technician Training Program, developed in partnership with Project for Pride in Living (PPL) and Minneapolis College. This program is designed to train individuals for building operations, maintenance, and facilities engineer roles in our Facility Services Department.

Program Overview

The Facility Services Department is responsible for the comprehensive management of the county's properties and facilities. This program is ideal for individuals who:

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have at least six months of basic maintenance, construction, or custodial experience.
  • Are able to attend evening classes.
