About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Tank Foreman to join our team at HMT Tank Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tank construction and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct personnel in the safe execution of site-specific scope of work items outlined in contract documents.
  • Ensure compliance with HMT and customer specifications, guidelines, and programs.
  • Support the Tank Foreman in managing the field crew and performing daily tasks.
  • Responsible for onsite customer relations and ensuring work is performed efficiently.
  • Complete all general site paperwork, including timesheets and purchase orders.
  • Red-line construction drawings and provide sketches of existing customer equipment.
  • Complete HMT Data Sheets and train crew members in tank building and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of heavy steel industry work experience, preferably in the AST industry space.
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record and POV.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple jobs concurrently and maintain accurate Field Progress Reports.
  • Able to give clear and concise instructions to multiple employees.
  • Possess knowledge of automatic welding and burning equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, climb, carry, push/pull, and use repetitive wrist and hand movements. The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects of up to 50 pounds.

This position may work in various locations within the U.S. Some locations may be subject to extreme temperatures, working in high places, etc. Potential for exposure to temperature changes, wetness, confined spaces, fumes/odors, working with ladder/scaffolds, working with pressurized equipment, high places, hazardous materials, and working alone.
