Job Summary

Jabil Careers is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in a precision machining facility with over 45 years of operating expertise in manufacturing and concept producibility and engineering support. As a Machinist, you will set up and operate various CNC machine tools, including multi-axis mills or lathes, to fabricate high-quality machined components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of CNC Mills and/or Lathes to produce precision machined parts.
  • Work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions to fabricate complex machined components.
  • Assemble cutting tools and manipulate controls to set tool offsets and work positions.
  • Make shop calculations to determine tooling feeds and speeds.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and adhere to 6S requirements.
  • Complete all job-related paperwork accurately and follow prescribed work rules and standard safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High School/GED or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience as a machinist.
  • Mazak Mill or Intagrex or other multi-axis machining experience preferred.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Manual machining experience a plus.
  • Able to read job instructions and blueprints.
  • Intermediate shop math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills (verbal and written).

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Physical ability to operate machines and lift 35 pounds at a time.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching.
  • Must be able to work in noisy environments at times.

This position requires the use of information subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations/ITAR, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Jabil Careers offers a competitive hourly pay range of $20.00 to $25.00, plus a short-term incentive based on performance.
