Job SummaryThis is a professional-level position responsible for preparing reports and analyses of Community Development Department projects, conducting research into planning and zoning problems, disseminating information on planning and zoning regulations and programs, and providing assistance to applicants, developers, and the public regarding City codes, policies, and processes related to planning matters.
Key responsibilities include performing a wide range of professional work in support of the City's current and advanced planning functions, responding to inquiries from the public and other organizations, and preparing staff analysis of projects being heard by the Planning Commission and City Council.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in planning, public administration, or a related field, with two years of full-time professional experience in the planning field.
- Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License with a safe driving record.
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with some travel to different sites; occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
