The Office Manager II - High School is a critical role within the Broward County Public Schools organization, responsible for providing administrative support to the efficient and effective operations of the office.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of clerical duties to support supervisory and administrative personnel in handling daily activities.
- Receive, research, route and/or respond to inquiries from parents, students, staff and the general public, as required.
- Demonstrate and promote exceptional customer service, greeting students, parents, staff and visitors in a courteous manner and making every effort to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- Comply with federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, or designee.
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
- A minimum of five (5) years, within the last ten (10) years, of clerical experience.
- Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures including filing, answering telephones, or utilizing standard office equipment.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with the public; demonstrated sensitivity to the problems and emotional distress of students, parents, and other school/department constituents.
- Proficient in the operation of office machinery and equipment, including personal computers, fax machines, printers, scanners, etc.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced organization skills and keen attentiveness to detail.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
The Office Manager II - High School will work in a fast-paced office environment, interacting with students, parents, staff and the general public. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
