Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Experiential Therapist to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As an Experiential Therapist, you will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, facilitating, directing, and evaluating experiential therapy programming in all specialized treatment areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement experiential therapy programs that promote psychosocial functioning and recovery skills in patients/residents.
  • Facilitate group initiatives, arts/crafts, music, outdoor activities, and other expressive activities to aid patients/residents in learning recovery skills.
  • Provide individualized treatment within a group setting, utilizing recreational activities to aid patients/residents in learning recovery skills.
  • Coordinate, evaluate, and supervise student interns.
  • Maintain basic staffing needs and daily functioning of the department in the leader's absence.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in art, music, dance, recreation, or other therapies required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification/registration through appropriate credentialing board preferred.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required within thirty days of hire.
  • Formal training in management of the aggressive patient required within sixty days of hire.
