Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Mixer Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a truck equipped with a concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to various locations in California.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive truck safely and efficiently to location for unloading.
  • Operate truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and start mixer.
  • Release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and report repairs to personnel.
  • Clean truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck.
  • Maintain accurate work and driving records of daily activities.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid unrestricted California Commercial Driver License (Group A or B) and comply with Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement required.
  • Must have a safe driving record.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Working Conditions:

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and hazardous chemicals. Employees must wear personal protective equipment, including safety vests, hard hats, ear protection, gloves, and safety glasses.

Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, reaching, handling, feeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience:
  • Knowledge of road construction materials, processes, and industry requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
