Key Responsibilities:
The Cardiac Cath Lab RN is responsible for performing various procedures including angioplasties, pacemaker implants, and diagnosing cardiac conditions through invasive catheterization techniques. The nurse will:
- Administer care to patients with heart disease and those experiencing heart attacks by obtaining visual diagnostics of coronary arteries.
- Identify blockages and assist physicians during procedures while continuously monitoring patient status.
- Conduct interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and the implantation of pacemakers or defibrillators.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- An active RN license
- A degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- A minimum of eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Cath Lab setting
