Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and be proficient in creating, modifying, and prioritizing patient plans of care as necessary.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, be able to recognize subtle and early indicators of crisis situations, and intervene promptly to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The NICU at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art unit that provides comprehensive care to critically ill newborns. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create, modify, and prioritize patient plans of care as necessary
  2. Recognize subtle and early indicators of crisis situations and intervene promptly
  3. Provide education to patients, families, and significant others on age-specific criteria and assessment of readiness to learn
  4. Perform Point of Care procedures in a timely manner according to established policy and procedure
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact
  • American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire
