Pay Range: $19.05 - $26.70

Estimated Salary: $22.38 per hour

As a Clinical Assistant at Monument Health, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide direct and indirect patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination and treatment areas according to clinic standards.
  • Complete patient rooming procedures, including vital signs and data collection.
  • Accurately administer and document unit dose medications/immunizations.
  • Perform EKGs and laboratory testing under CLIA license.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in patient records.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies or graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant University/training facility.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA) by one of the listed certifying bodies.
  • BLS Healthcare Professional Certification within 60 days of hire.

Additonal Requirements:

  • May be granted 6 months to obtain national certification for Medical Assistants hired between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2024.
  • Must hold one of the following national certifications upon hire: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA).

Physical Demands: Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
