Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN to join our dedicated team at Chandler Regional Medical Center. This role focuses on providing exceptional care in our Observation Unit, catering to a variety of patient diagnoses.

Certification Requirements:
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage patients in the Observation Unit with conditions such as:
- Chest pain rule out myocardial infarction
- Post-heart catheterization (no sheaths)
- Stable pre-coronary artery bypass graft
- Post-interventional radiology and endoscopic procedures
- Administer medications including non-titration Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Labetalol.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant field.
- Active BLS, ACLS certifications, and an Arizona nursing license or compact.
- Successful completion of a dysrhythmia exam.
- Simulated lab assessment on the first day of orientation.
- COVID-19 vaccination required or submission of a declination form with supporting documentation.

Schedule and Unit Information:
- Orientation: 2 days on the unit.
- Unit Details:
- Observation Unit with 16 beds, an extension of the Emergency Room.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 0.
- Charge Nurse available 24/7.
- Patient Care Technicians staffed according to census.
- Weekend commitment: Every third weekend, with holiday rotations.
- Scrub color: Navy.

Additional Considerations:
- No ventilator, BiPAP, or CPAP management required.
- Hospitalist coverage available on-site.
- IV Team and Pharmacy services are available 24/7.
- Potential for floating to other tele/med-surg floors or sister facilities.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Recent experience within the last 6 months is preferred.
