Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at CJE SeniorLife. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Compute pay according to company policy and union contract, and prepare other payroll data such as pension, insurance, and credit union payments.
  • Accounting and Financial Analysis: Process payroll deductions, interpret company policies, union contract, and government regulations affecting payroll procedures, and prepare government reports.
  • Financial Operations: Review payroll to ensure accuracy, determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedites workflow, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and daily cash balance analysis.
  • Banking and Accounts Payable: Process daily banking duties and perform accounts payable back-up duties.
  • Depreciation and Capital Budget: Perform depreciation, capital budget, and credit card back-up duties.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or four or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, calculate figures and amounts, and knowledge of Database software, UltiPro or equivalent Payroll System.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
