Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist II at Covenant Health (Tennessee), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Diagnostic Imaging department. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate technologist to join our team and assist in performing routine and complex imaging procedures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply ALARA principles to maintain established radiation safety standards, minimizing radiation exposure to patients, healthcare personnel, and the general public.

Collaborate with patients' clinical history to ensure accurate documentation and availability for licensed independent practitioners.

Perform routine and complex diagnostic imaging procedures, adhering to technical expertise and procedure protocols as ordered by licensed independent practitioners.

Assist licensed independent practitioners with interventional procedures, including time-outs according to policy, and complete accurate informed consents.

Maintain aseptic technique, apply universal precautions, and apply appropriate infection prevention techniques and processes.

Assume responsibility for patient needs during procedures, proactively assisting patients, families, licensed independent practitioners, and visitors as needed.

Apply the principle of patient safety during all aspects of radiographic procedures, including double IDs, falls, transport, and hand washing.

Requirements:

Must have successfully completed an educational program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the ARRT.

Must be proficient in all fluoroscopy and specialized exams, including surgery within 6 months.

Must have and maintain ARRT (R) certification and state licensure in accordance with Tennessee guidelines.
