Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Homestead Hills, a full-service retirement community with a 40-bed skilled nursing facility. As a LPN, you will provide hands-on resident care, administer medications and treatments, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and restorative nursing services, including resident assessments, vital sign recording, and medication administration.
  • Keep timely documentation of written reports and verbal reports to ensure quality care.
  • Interact with resident physicians, pharmacists, and medical personnel as needed.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
  • Participate in in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing.
  • Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  • Four-year college or university degree desired.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing. The individual must use proper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living. Long hours and frequent night and weekend work are required.

Travel

No travel is expected, although occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.
