Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our community's facilities. This includes ensuring the upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds. Responsibilities encompass a variety of maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.

Core Duties:

  • Maintain and repair all facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Respond promptly to service requests from residents and staff.
  • Oversee the quality of work performed by external contractors.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and inventory of equipment.
  • Implement preventive maintenance and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Assist in emergency procedures and maintain safety equipment.
  • Ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Manage inventory of tools and supplies for optimal efficiency.
  • Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of communal areas.
  • Assist with resident apartment turnover tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Be available for emergency calls during off-hours as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage in resident-centered activities and programs.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Two to three years of experience in maintenance-related fields.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment and lift heavy objects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with residents and staff.
  • Flexibility in work hours is essential.
  • Good physical health and ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug testing.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of cleaning materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
