Full-Time Junior Medical Billing Specialist Required
Managed Care Staffers is seeking a dedicated Junior Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for managing patient accounts and ensuring accurate billing processes.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Role Duration: Temporary position with potential for extension
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
Key Responsibilities
- Manage collections for patient accounts and Medicaid claims across both medical and behavioral health services.
- Conduct collection calls to optimize reimbursement rates.
- Process payments and establish payment plans as required.
- Gather necessary patient demographics and insurance details for billing purposes.
- Organize and maintain electronic files of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
- Handle secondary claim entries and perform claim status inquiries.
- Assist in resolving claim disputes through appropriate channels.
- Prepare and distribute patient billing statements.
Qualifications
- At least one year of recent experience in medical billing and collections, specifically within a physician office setting.
- Familiarity with CareLogic and eClinicalWorks is advantageous but not mandatory.
