Job Overview

At Spee-Dee Delivery Service, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Package Handler. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of packages to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Package Handling: Unload freight from fleet vehicles, accurately sort packages by zip code, city, or state, and load packages in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.
  • Scanning and Tracking: Scan package barcode labels as unloaded for tracking purposes.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse that can weigh up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
  • Ability to work with all types of freight, including hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
