POSITION SUMMARY

The Technician plays a vital role within a project team, focusing on improving overall job site efficiency and delivering superior quality work.

This role encompasses various facets of the cable installation process, including Outside Plant (OSP), Inside Plant (ISP), rack and stack operations, patching, pathway construction, rough-in tasks, and Telecommunication Room setups, alongside cable terminations, labeling, and grounding.

The primary objective of the Technician is to execute tasks with exceptional quality and efficiency while upholding professionalism to achieve optimal job performance.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to safe work practices and following company and client site policies.
  • Embrace and promote the company's Core Values to nurture a family-oriented culture.
  • Install structured cabling systems, covering all installation phases: OSP, ISP, Rack, Stack, and Patch.
  • Interpret and analyze floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets accurately.
  • Set up various copper and fiber testing equipment proficiently.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot both optical fiber and copper installations.
  • Assist in mentoring Installers to ensure they can fulfill all Technician responsibilities.
  • Proactively manage job site organization and basic housekeeping tasks.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with customer security protocols.
  • Excel in technical tasks, particularly in testing and troubleshooting.
