Job Summary:
Hackensack Meridian Health - 65 James Street is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs
- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments
- Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions
- Manage care of patients
- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
- Provide patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing practice models
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of previous clinical pediatric experience required
- 2 years of PICU experience
- Ability to float to various units within the facility, including adult units, as needed
Additional Information:
This is a contract position with a duration of 89 days. As a PICU RN, you will be expected to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and support the needs of the hospital.
