Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Program Management Services Division at LaBella Associates. This is a key role that will be responsible for leading the design and development of transmission line projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conductor selection and structure recommendations
  • Insulation, A/C interference, static wire, and grounding studies
  • Line design, including plans and profiles, cross-section details, and utilization of wetlands and sensitive resource data
  • Detailed estimate and probability modeling
  • Lead overall transmission line design for all capital projects
  • Review and design transmission line plan and profile drawings using PLSCAD to ensure compliance with AVANGRID standards and NESC/other standards
  • Drive the project plan for transmission line routing and strategy, including deciding whether to rebuild existing lines or obtain additional right of way based on area congestion and local politics/permitting issues
Requirements
  • 10 years or more of engineering experience in the functional area
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology
  • PE required
