Responsibilities
• Deploy initiated activities to relative teams
• Supervise daily activities of one or several electrical development teams
• Balance workload and areas of concern
• Supervise multiple product designs and deliverables
• Ensure team members comply with work instructions, processes, and procedures
• Supervise team members to prioritize development and complete tasks on time
• Review project development plans, including resources and expenses
• Coordinate regular electrical team meetings
• Approve reported work hours for supervised associates
• Manage supervised associates' performance and outline career paths
• Develop and implement career development plans with training agreed upon with supervised associates
• Supervise team members' coaching and training in engineering/technical disciplines
• Create resource forecasting for all projects, short-term and long-term
• Hire new electrical engineers based on resource forecasting
• Supervise team members' retention structure for all projects
• Ensure team members comply with electrical work plans
• Establish and maintain electrical design and verification engineering standards/documents' archiving
• Lead continuous electrical development process improvement activities
• Supervise multiple project developments/deliveries using the electrical work product delivery matrix
• Respond to emergent solution requests from within or outside the company
• Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines and maintain good relationships with customers
• Stay informed about legal risks related to HR and facilitate team members' training
• Lead team members to analyze root causes of engineering issues and lessons learned
• Ensure team members work independently but help each other when necessary
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of automotive-related or equivalent electrical/electronics production design experience
