About the Unit

The 7 North Medical Surgical GI/GU unit at Butterworth Hospital is a 39-bed department that provides exceptional care to patients with urology and surgical oncology diagnoses. Our team is known for its outstanding teamwork and welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal place for nurses to learn and grow. We specialize in the care of patients with nasogastric tubes, urinary catheters, and urologic care, as well as those with gastrointestinal diagnoses.

Requirements

  • Associates in Nursing Required
  • Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days

Work Schedule

Our team works a 36-hour week, with a variable schedule that includes every other weekend. We offer a 6-week core schedule, with opportunities for overtime and professional development.
