Hydraulic Hose Technician

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to diagnose hydraulic problems, assemble, and install hoses for a diverse customer base. As a PIRTEK Mobile Sales and Service Technician, you will operate out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose-built van while conducting sales and service calls. The mechanical expertise is imperative to allow you to effectively and efficiently diagnose the hydraulic failure and replace the old hoses with new ones.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assemble and install hoses for a diverse customer base.
  2. Conduct service calls in the local area.
  3. Evaluate the condition of equipment and recognize any potential hose failure.
  4. Maintain clean, well-running work vehicle, inventory, and tools.
  5. Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on site when possible.
  6. Perform all work safely and with high quality.
  7. Provide after-hour assistance.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Mechanically inclined with heavy equipment or like experience.
  2. Successful technicians are upbeat with a positive attitude and are self-motivators.
  3. Experience as mechanic, or medium-level mechanical skills.
  4. Attention to detail under pressure.
  5. Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  6. Work outdoors under varying conditions.
  7. Ability to safely work with tools in confined spaces, on the ground, inside, and outside, and around heavy equipment and machinery.
  8. Pride in workmanship.
  9. Always strive for excellence in safety, quality, and proficiency.
  10. Exceptional Communication Skills.
