Job Summary
Pratt Retail Specialties is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our team. As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move products throughout the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to transport products to and from storage areas, loading docks, and shipping areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by scanning load tags and verifying product quantities.
- Ensure all orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed powered industrial truck operator.
- Must be able to operate a lift truck safely with minimal product damage.
- Must be able to accurately scan load tags and maintain accurate inventories.
- Must be able to read and follow production schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or higher preferred.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
Working Conditions
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
Language Skills
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Mathematical Skills
- Must be able to read and use a non-metric measuring tape.
- Must be able to count and perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Physical Demands
- Able to bend and lift 30 pounds without assistance.
- Able to easily get on and off powered industrial truck equipment.
- Able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
- Able to climb stairs.
Work Environment
- Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
