Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our expanding team in the West Valley-Phoenix area. This role is vital to our healthcare delivery system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments with patients for healthcare provider visits.
- Conduct patient assessments and report findings to the Medical Director, including wound images and measurements.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as required.
- Ensure all necessary supplies are available for patient visits, manage inventory, and maintain a well-stocked supply bag.
- Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures under their guidance.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, colleagues, management, and care partners.
- Document provider notes and enter data into electronic medical records (EMR) and related documentation.
- Travel to patients' residences as needed.
- Report directly to the Director of Operations in Arizona.
- Accompany the Woundcare Nurse during patient visits.
- Support the implementation of clinical and operational protocols established by United Woundcare Institute.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Diploma program.
- Willingness and ability to travel for home healthcare services.
- Experience in wound care is advantageous but not mandatory.
Considerations:
- This is a mobile position with significant travel requirements.
- Direct patient care may involve physical demands, including lifting.
- Remote work may be permitted based on leadership discretion and operational needs.
- Wound care services are provided at patients' homes and various regional facilities.
