We are seeking a Recreation Aide to work with adults living in one of our temporary housing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a recreational program that meets the needs of all age groups and fosters positive socialization and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a recreational program that is appropriate and meets the needs of all age groups.
- Ensure that appropriate recreational services are available for residents with special needs.
- Encourage full participation of all residents to enhance socialization in the shelter environment.
- Engage in community outreach to secure service linkages and resources for residents and the program.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all participants in recreational activities.
- Develop a budget for the recreation department.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience and skills.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be creative, responsible, patient, kind, and caring.
