Pharmacist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating physician medication orders, maintaining patient/resident databases, and implementing drug safety policies.

• Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness and make recommendations for therapy changes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient/resident databases, including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication.
• Ensure that laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team.
• Document all communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members in the medical record.
• Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs and biologicals.

• Pharmacist licensure in the state of Maryland.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to pharmacy practice.
