We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our 2nd shift, you will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
Responsibilities:
Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, families and friends.
Provide direct, professional nursing care to patients.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies.
Ensure safe operation of equipment.
Prepare equipment and assists physicians during examinations and treatments.
Administer medications by using the electronic health record and scanning process.
Documents, monitors and reports symptoms and changes in patient status.
Provides patient education of illness/disease and promotes health maintenance and disease prevention.
Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
Communicates effectively with patients, families and other team members.
Requirements:
Must be licensed a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of NC.
Current BLS Certification.
