We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our emergency department, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our experienced healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients evaluated and treated in the emergency department
- Utilize therapeutic means, laboratory data, and radiographic studies in coordination of care under the clinical supervision of the Chief, Emergency Services or their designee
- Work alongside other passionate physicians and advanced practitioners, as well as highly trained nursing and support staff
- Collaborate with hospitalists and other specialties to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans
- Contribute to the growth and development of the emergency department through quality improvement initiatives and education
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital-based emergency department or non-urgent care area
- Excellent command of verbal and written English
- Excellent operation of clinical equipment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with both adults and children
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with other clinical, nursing, and physicians
- Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions, and work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department
- Proficiency in technology usage
- Graduate of an accredited and/or approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
- Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or ability to obtain
- ACLS/BLS certification
