Optician Job Summary

Ramin Tayami MD Inc is seeking a skilled Dispensing Optician to provide exceptional customer service and perform various tasks in the optical department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer experience and perform duties in the optical department
• Process insurance claims and manage billing efforts for billable services and products
• Learn and utilize NextGen Optical Management software for sales, billing, and inventory management
• Maintain accurate product inventory and report discrepancies to management
• Provide Saturday coverage in the Optical Department as needed
• Contribute to marketing plans within the Optical Department

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Knowledge of vision insurance plans (EYEMED, VSP, MES & Spectera)
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Management or leadership skills a plus
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as an Optician or in a related field
• NextGen software experience
• Sales experience
• ABO/NCLE certification
