School Based Mental Health Liaison

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Based Mental Health Liaison to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will provide direct mental health services to children and families in rural county schools.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual consultation to teachers to enhance the learning environment for children at risk of developing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse problems.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP) in collaboration with families and school staff.
- Conduct mental health assessments and evaluations, as well as provide counseling and therapy services to identified students.
- Participate in IEP and other school-related meetings to ensure successful implementation of mental health services.
- Provide training and education to teachers, school staff, and students to promote healthy learning environments.
- Master's degree in a human services field, such as counseling or social work.
- Two years of experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems, or two years of experience with adolescent substance use/abuse prevention.
- Experience leading groups and trainings, as well as course work in cultural diversity, human development, and mental health.
- Licensed or licensed eligible.
