We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Program, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety and health programs to mitigate risks and prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct thorough hazard assessments and develop abatement plans to control identified hazards.
- Provide expert guidance on personal protective equipment (PPE) needs and safety training requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety concerns and develop solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical reports, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety, or 2+ years with a Master's degree.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. and pass FAA security screening.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at different organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA experience or military aviation background.
- Prior safety consulting experience for FAA or other Federal agencies.
- Board of Certified Safety Professionals certification (CSP, ASP, OHST, or CHST).
