Section Chief

**Job Title:** Section Chief

**Job Summary:** We are looking for a highly skilled Section Chief to lead a team in a continuous mining section at the mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a section in an underground coal mine, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and production goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• • Follow all applicable State and Federal safety rules and regulations, and all applicable Company-issued safety guidelines and policies.

• • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the continuous mining section, including equipment, personnel, and materials.

• • Ensure the safety of all teammates and equipment in the mine and implement preventive and corrective measures to minimize risks and hazards.

**Requirements:**

• • A degree in mining engineering or related discipline is preferred.

• • A minimum of three years' experience in an underground operation with production supervisory responsibilities would be advantageous.

• • A valid Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate is required.
