Position: Pharmaceutical Packaging Specialist I

Location: North Billerica, MA

Compensation: $24/hour

Shift: 1st Shift (Mon-Thurs 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM + OT)

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmaceutical Packaging Specialist I to contribute to our operations in North Billerica, MA. This entry-level role is particularly suited for recent graduates with a background in bio/biomedical sciences. As a Packaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate labeling and packaging of pharmaceutical products for international distribution, thereby playing a crucial role in maintaining product integrity and adherence to industry regulations.

Qualifications
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma with 0-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector, or
  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in bio/biomedical sciences are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience & Skills:
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of cGMP standards and a strong commitment to compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical processing, including cGMP considerations and specialized equipment.
  • Experience in a collaborative environment and adaptability to sudden changes in production schedules.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics, science, and computer applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Labeling & Packaging: Execute manual labeling and packaging of pharmaceuticals, ensuring precision and compliance with manufacturing batch records.
  • Visual Inspection: Conduct manual visual inspections of filled vials based on established criteria.
  • SOP Compliance: Comprehend and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), accurately completing standardized forms and guiding team members on fundamental procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and other internal departments, demonstrating strong listening and writing abilities.
  • Decision-Making: Apply judgment in routine decision-making within established parameters, consulting with team members or supervisors as necessary.
  • Teamwork: Actively engage in team discussions and support colleagues in achieving collective goals.
  • Safety: Advocate for and comply with safety guidelines, including proper use of protective equipment, and take initiative in addressing safety and environmental hazards.
