Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Physical Education Aide. The successful candidate will assist teachers in planning and implementing physical education programs, as well as provide support to students and teachers in the library.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in selecting and scheduling materials for physical education instruction
  • Provide instruction to students and teachers on the use of library materials and equipment
  • Encourage student use of library materials to satisfy class assignments
  • Function as a member of the teaching team by accepting one-on-one or small group teaching responsibilities
  • Assist in planning activities to stimulate student and teacher use of library materials and facilities
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required in English
  • Meet one of the following options:
  • Option 1: 48 university, college, and/or vocational level hours with core subjects from an accredited institution of higher education, or Associate's (or higher) Official Transcript/Diploma (required in English)
  • Option 2: Current Full-Time Brownsville ISD employee with a Valid Educational Aide Certification and High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required in English
  • Option 3: Recent Brownsville Independent School District High School Graduate student 18 years of age or older, with a final grade of 70 or better in two or more education and training courses specified in Chapter 130, Subchapter E, of this title
