We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Education Resource Coordinator to join our team at Mercy Home For Boys and Girls. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing educational support and resources to our youth, ensuring they receive the best possible care and guidance to achieve their academic goals.

The estimated salary for this position is $**,550 - $**,750 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:
  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide educational assessments and progress monitoring to identify areas of strength and weakness
  • Collaborate with youth, family, and program teams to develop and implement education plans
  • Work closely with external school partnerships to ensure seamless transitions and access to educational resources
  • Assist youth in preparing for high school entrance tests, ACT/SAT tests, and GED programs/tests
  • Proctor education assessments and interpret results
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date educational records for each youth
  • Continuously assess youth's educational needs and provide additional support as needed
  • Attend weekly program staff meetings to maintain clear communication and coordinate efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, special education, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth in a residential or community-based setting
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to drive a van
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
