Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Science Program Coordinator will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the MLS program within the laboratory, including developing, planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling the program's activities and accreditation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the MLS program's strategic plan and goals
  • Coordinate and manage the program's accreditation process
  • Oversee the program's budget and financial planning
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and other departments to ensure program success

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory/medical technology science and completion of an AMA-approved laboratory training program and MT(ASCP) certification
  • Previous experience in laboratory management or a related field
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related health care administration or equivalent
  • Previous teaching experience
