Job Title: Clinical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Care Specialist to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a key member of our Division of Human Genetics, Section of Metabolism, Lysosomal Storage Disorders Program, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and management of patients with lysosomal storage disorders (LSD) and inborn errors of metabolism.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing recent information from CHOP electronic medical records and abstracting relevant data.
  • Obtain updated patient history, order laboratory and imaging studies, and discuss the updated plan of care with patients and families.
  • Communicate test results and changes to the medical plan with patients and families.
  • Manage enzyme replacement therapies, including communication with authorization teams and pharmaceutical case managers.
  • Collaborate with Genetic Counselor to coordinate genetic and biochemical testing.
  • Oversee management of LSD patient lists and organize local meetings with patient support groups.
  • Participate in clinical trials, research studies, and patient registries.
  • Manage a cohort of patients, perform daily assessments, collect data, and analyze findings to inform family-centered plans of care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
  • Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
  • Specialty certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Prescriptive authority in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
