Job Overview

The Supply Chain Analyst plays a crucial role in devising logistics strategies that enhance operational efficiency and resource utilization across the network. Collaborating closely with Operations and Information Technology, the Analyst will interpret and implement business regulations while identifying opportunities that align with cost-reduction goals. Additional data analysis tasks will be undertaken as required by the Logistics team, necessitating effective database management.



Key Responsibilities

Evaluate freight and service expenses in relation to contractual agreements

  • Facilitate payments to third-party logistics providers, encompassing requisition input and the coordination of purchase orders through to invoice processing.
  • Compile and assess logistics freight expenditures for North America - Oversee and consolidate monthly financial logistics reports.
  • Review and authorize freight invoices that have been disputed by third-party freight payment vendors.
  • Examine contract carrier freight rates to pinpoint areas for cost-saving enhancements and manage maintenance contract rates within the transportation management system.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to disseminate essential weekly and quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor cost savings, cost avoidance, and team performance metrics.
  • Provide support for MIT Planners/Schedulers as necessary to ensure the seamless flow of planning, shipping, and invoicing processes.



Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 2 to 5 years in a relevant role.

Knowledge & Skills: A foundational understanding or eagerness to learn about transportation, supply chain, and logistics principles is essential.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.


• Intermediate proficiency in Access and Excel is required.


• Competence in using computers, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is necessary.


• Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively utilize required tools.


• Capability to adhere to established processes and standard operating procedures is essential.
