Therma Commissioning Specialist - Energy Expert

Therma, a leading energy transition accelerator, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Specialist to join our team in Maitland, Florida. As a Commissioning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful commissioning of complex systems in mission-critical and high-performance facilities.

As a Therma Commissioning Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make important contributions to the team and participate in the steady and consistent growth and success of both the individual and the company. You will receive guidance, direction, and mentoring from senior Commissioning Specialists and other experienced staff members to continuously develop and improve the capabilities required of the position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide consistently excellent commissioning services to clients, meeting or exceeding their expectations.
  • Travel to perform or assist the team with site observations, conduct Cx meetings, and make on-site assessments of client needs to determine the scope of required commissioning services and other requirements.
  • Attend meetings with architects, owners, design construction professionals, and code officials to define and perform overall commissioning tasks required.
  • Develop Cx plans, checklists, and functional performance tests, conduct required testing, and assemble required Cx documentation for a complete report submission.
  • Continuously improve professional capability through consistent self-study, interaction with other industry professionals, and involvement in continuing education opportunities.
  • Clearly convey information, ideas, and concepts in written, graphic, and/or verbal form as necessary, and work with others to foster a team spirit.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Four years of minimum controls or test and balance, HVAC design, and/or Mech. Construction Administration experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and FTP share sites.

Preferred Requirements

  • CxT, CxA, CEM, LEED AP BC+C Commissioning certifications or interest to obtain.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience in controls, test & balance, and/or designing K-12, Higher Education, Public Safety, Healthcare, Multi-family, Theme Park, and/or Government Facilities building types.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Therma offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and welfare benefits, paid vacation, company-paid holidays, sick leave, 401(k) retirement savings plan, company-paid long-term disability insurance, AD&D insurance, and life insurance.
