Deputy Sheriff

Vets Hired is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy to join our team. As a Deputy, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and serving our community.

• Manage stakeholder priorities and cultivate partnerships with the community and organization.
• Effectively manage personnel issues and hold staff accountable.
• Make recommendations related to fiscal, policy, and personnel issues.
• Deliver impactful presentations to the community.

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in criminology, social science, business, or public administration.
• At least four (4) years of full-time paid experience equivalent to the Police Captain and/or Police Lieutenant classification.
• A valid California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to meet physical, psychological, and background standards.
• Willingness to work evening, night, weekend, and holiday call-ins.
• Ability to maintain firearms qualification.
• Possession of a P.O.S.T. Management Certificate.
