Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the purchasing processes for S-E-A. This position involves creating purchase orders and overseeing the procurement of supplies, equipment, services, and utility contracts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the lifecycle of purchase orders from initiation to delivery.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to fulfill their procurement requirements.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with agreements.
  • Analyze annual spending by vendor and report findings.
  • Research potential suppliers and establish new vendor accounts.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of purchasing contracts.
  • Respond promptly to ad hoc procurement requests.
  • Embrace constructive feedback to enhance performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of procurement processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to deliver accurate and timely reports with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive demeanor for communication across various organizational levels.
