Head Cashier

Job Summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a skilled Head Cashier to oversee the supervision of a team of cashiers, providing training, hiring, monitoring, and assistance with operational issues. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
• Monitor and maintain cash register supply levels, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
• Assign store sweeps, maintain cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots, and oversee meal and rest breaks.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager and 3rd Manager to address operational issues, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, state requirements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment, register, calculator, scanner, and lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and cash handling skills.
