Job Summary
Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to serve as a Preceptor in our residency clinic. As a Preceptor, you will work closely with our Internal Medicine residents, providing clinical guidance and supervision in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and precept Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient setting
- Provide clinical guidance and feedback to residents
- Work with the Internal Medicine Program Director and office manager to achieve clinical, operational, and patient experience goals
- Oversee resident-developed action plans for addressing quality care gaps
- Provide timely feedback and evaluation to residents
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted PA medical license and DEA license
- Experience teaching residents and basic understanding of quality improvement principles
