About the Role

The Defense Health Agency is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Performance Enhancement Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in maximizing Soldier performance and improving unit readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive occupational therapy programs to optimize performance behaviors and mitigate injury risk.
  • Conduct formal and informal evaluations to assess physical, psychological, cognitive, and functional abilities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement goal-oriented treatment programs to enhance Soldier performance and readiness.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate rehabilitation and wellness activities for individual Soldiers or groups.
  • Provide education on injury/disease process, joint protection, energy conservation, and cognitive compensatory techniques.
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship and proof of citizenship.
  • One year of specialized experience in performance enhancement occupational therapy, including evaluations, interventions, and education.
  • Graduate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
