Job Summary:
Reynolds Community College is seeking a part-time adjunct teaching faculty member to instruct American Sign Language (ASL) courses. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in ASL or a related field, or a Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in ASL. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of full-time ASL post-secondary teaching experience and demonstrated ability to incorporate technology into instructional responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach ASL courses to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum
  • Assess student learning
  • Communicate with students and colleagues
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in ASL or a related field
  • 18 graduate semester hours in ASL
  • At least two years of full-time ASL post-secondary teaching experience
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology into instructional responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid ASLTA Certification
  • Documented native or native-like ASL fluency
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with multi-cultural populations
