Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Hospice Travel Registered Nurse to join our team at Liberty Hospice. As a Hospice Travel Registered Nurse, you will provide state-of-the-art care and pain management services to our patients and families facing terminal illness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply a working knowledge of nursing theories and concepts to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Responsible for care and documentation of care, which meets reimbursement guidelines.
  • Coordinate physical care of the patient with family, patient, physician, and Hospice team.
  • Communicate with patients/families at all levels and with all agency personnel.
  • Attend and participate in IDT meetings and quality review as scheduled by the agency.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Successful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
  • Frequent contact with the Clinical Manager, Administrator, Operations Support Technician, and other disciplines on the care team.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the principles and practice of nursing according to nursing practice act, agencies policies and procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Constantly able to use a computer and have a working knowledge of a variety of computer applications.
  • High-level problem-solving, critical thinking, and reasoning skills for use in patient care planning and problem resolution.
  • Available to travel as needed across the Hospice coverage area.
