Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physician Liaison to develop and cultivate relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting primary care and specialty practices to share information on priority programs and services, generating new referrals, and contributing to market share growth.

The Physician Liaison will develop and implement marketing and sales plans to increase patient volume in Cooper University Health Care services.

This role requires a strong ability to present, probe, persuade, and actively listen to referral source needs, responding with the right mix of service line and product attributes to produce results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff in primary care and specialty practices.
  2. Visit practices to share information on priority programs and services, generating new referrals and contributing to market share growth.
  3. Develop and implement marketing and sales plans to increase patient volume in Cooper University Health Care services.
  4. Present, probe, persuade, and actively listen to referral source needs, responding with the right mix of service line and product attributes to produce results.
  5. Work with physicians in Cooper's service area to understand needs, troubleshoot problems, communicate new programs and outreach activities, and communicate issues back to health system administration.
  6. Input from the Physician Liaison is valuable relative to local market dynamics and economics.
  7. Responsible for directly contacting regional physicians in their offices and spending approximately 70% of time in the field working independently to share information on service lines and programs to generate new referrals and contribute to market share growth.
  8. Coordinate outreach visits with Cooper Health providers and travel with them to facilitate introductions.
  9. Develop and maintain a database of referring physicians relative to demographics, referral trends, and details as appropriate.
  10. Maintain communication with CUH Physicians/Administrators to learn of initiatives and relay barriers to referrals.
  11. Interact with coworkers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values at Cooper.
Requirements

3-5 years of previous experience in Physician Relations/Medical Product Sales preferred.

Bachelor's degree required.

Qualified candidate must demonstrate personal initiative, poise, confidence, and accept challenge.

Ability to plan, organize, and manage resources within prescribed timeframes.

Ability to verbalize product/service knowledge and possess good listening skills.

Candidate should be articulate in oral and written communication and must possess good time management and organizational skills and be customer and results oriented.
